San Mai Damascus Hook’s Drop Point Skinner

Many of our designs are provided by US Knifemakers and hobbyists around the world. Enthusiasts that share with other enthusiasts.  We look forward to sharing not only Rocky’s design but yours as well! Follow the flat grind on this as it was done horizontally (left to right) instead of vertically up and down, this is old school. Follow the line from the finger guard hollow grind up behind the point of the blade it is subtle with a gentle curve and very well thought out.  It’s these subtleties that bring more to the blade when finished.

Subtle, but elegant. Very sharp and hardened. This blade is ready for handles. Made with a stainless core and a layered Damascus jacket around that core. The stainless core is made of 8Cr17 steel and the Damascus jacket is 73 Layers of 1080 and 15n20 steels.
